Winholt Equipment, located in Grand Prairie, TX is an industry leader in the manufacturing and distribution of fabricated materials handling equipment. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Materials Handler to work in fast-paced distribution and manufacturing facility. Job Description: Load and unload trucks and store materials in designated locations (racks and bins) throughout the warehouse and manufacturing departments. This position works in a hot warehouse environment typically 40 hours a week with possible overtime occasionally. You will be expected to lift heavy product, no exceptions. Responsibilities • Loads/Unloads materials and merchandise from incoming trucks and stores them to assigned locations. • Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies • Transport raw materials to production workstations • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities • Assists with order picking, packing and palletizing as needed. Skills • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment • Able to climb, sit, stand and walk and to lift up to 60 lbs. independently • Able to communicate clearly and understand both written and verbal instructions. • Must be flexible and work the hours needed • Must have a team working positive attitude Experience • Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred. • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous. • Mechanical knowledge is a plus, particularly related to heavy equipment operation. • Experience using RF scanners for inventory management is desirable. • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties. • Experience with order picking processes, including using order pickers or similar equipment, is beneficial.
