Job Details Job Location Corporate Office - Boca Raton, FL Remote Type Optional Work from Home Position Type Full Time Salary Range $75000.00 - $110000.00 Salary/year Description Position Summary: The Risk Analytics team uses best-in-class data analytics and modeling to build solutions and insights that drive key business decisions, significantly contributing to Windward's consistent outperformance of the market. This highly visible position will play an important role on the team with key contributions in the areas of re-rating capabilities, automation, and business-impacting data insights. Essential Functions: • Work with and understand relational database structures • Create/Maintain ETL (extract data processes) • Program/Test insurance price algorithms • Assist data warehouse developers in identifying and revising enterprise reporting requirements • Support/Develop business intelligence reports and analysis • Identify relevant trends, do follow-up analysis, prepare visualizations • Work with and influence a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts (effectively communicating analytical findings and observations to influence decision-making) Qualifications Required Education and Experience: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area - Risk Management, Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics or related field • Minimum of 3-5 years working in an analytics role or related field • Experience working with relational databases in SQL Server Preferred Qualifications: • Data analysis, data management software programs (SQL) • Advanced capabilities with MS products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) • Data visualization tools such as QGIS/ArcGIS and MS PowerBI • Experience within the insurance industry an advantage, particularly if it relates to the US Property market • Passion for telling stories with data Essential Skills: • Use critical thinking and initiative with respect to problem solving • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships within and across teams • Strong communication, analytic and presentation skills Core Competencies: • Organization • Time management • Communication - verbal and written • Detail oriented
