Wilson College is seeking a passionate higher-education professional committed to advancing our mission through thoughtful admissions leadership and hands-on student support. The Coordinator of Admissions is a faculty-appointed position responsible for supporting the mission and philosophy of the academic program through administrative, academic, service, and scholarly contributions. This role requires demonstrated competence in teaching and the implementation of effective strategies that promote student success. The Coordinator of Admissions leads and oversees admissions-related functions, including planning, coordinating, facilitating, administering, and monitoring activities in collaboration with academic and clinical faculty. Until the program reaches full maturation, the Coordinator of Admissions will also serve as the Coordinator of Student Success. In this capacity, the individual is responsible for planning, coordinating, facilitating, administering, and monitoring student success initiatives on behalf of the academic program. The Coordinator of Student Success supports students in their transition into the program and plays an active role in connecting them with student support services and mentorship opportunities both within the academic program and across the college. Administrative Responsibilities Admissions Policies and Procedures • Create and implement holistic admissions policies, procedures, and rubrics in collaboration with Wilson College Registrar and the Online Program Manager partner. • Educate faculty and administration on best practices in holistic admissions in speech-language pathology. • Ensure nondiscrimination and equal opportunity during the admissions process for all prospective students. • Provide oversight, in conjunction with the Steering Committee, to all Admissions Policies and Procedures components of the Program Assessment Plan and accreditation requirements, including the annual Self Study Report. • Ensure all program policies, procedures, and practices under the responsibility of the Coordinator of Admissions provide for compliance with accreditation policies and procedures. • Ensures all student-centric program policies, procedures, and practices to promote a culture of inclusion and respect for diversity in all forms. • Administers and tracks SLP Bootcamp enrollment and outcomes. • Assimilates students into the MS-SLP program immediately following enrollment offer, acceptance, and before orientation. • Coordinates and conducts student orientation and graduation functions. • Track and advise non-degree students enrolled in the leveling program • Collaborate with EIM's enrollment team to guide students toward the MS-SLP admissions process • Serve as the primary advisor in the leveling-to-graduate pathway Recruitment and Outreach • Direct all day-to-day operations regarding student recruitment and admissions processes. • Plan and oversee program recruitment efforts, including virtual events, to attract a diverse student cohort. • Coordinate updates of the program website, handbooks, and informational brochures relative to student recruitment and admissions to ensure current and relevant information is provided to all prospective students. • Serve as the primary faculty contact for all student inquiries requiring more specific program information. • Assist the Coordinator of Student Succes with student assimilation into the MS-SLP program immediately following enrollment offer acceptance and prior to orientation. Committee and Faculty Coordination • Chair the Admissions Committee and lead all charges. • Educate all faculty regarding the admissions process, including specific emphasis on their role in applicant screening, interviewing, and selection. • Direct staff support personnel who assist with assembling and disseminating admissions information, receiving applications, entering data, and preparing files for interviews. • Report all recruitment and admissions activities as an agenda item in each faculty meeting. • Evaluate and review the admissions process, criteria, and admissions data to make recommendations to the faculty regarding changes annually. Student Success Policies and Procedures • Chair of the Student Success Committee. • Organizes social events and opportunities for peer networking during on-campus residency experiences. • Creates and implements a student success program. • Matches students with both faculty coaches and peer support partners in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Education. • Connects students with ASHA Multicultural Constituency Groups and facilitates chapter formation as needed. • Facilitates student professional development and mentoring opportunities with the college, ASHA programs, and other organizations. • Serves as program liaison with College Student Services. Qualifications: • Holds terminal academic doctorate (Ph.D., Ed.D.) in a discipline appropriate for teaching responsibilities from a regionally accredited institution. • Has a minimum of two years of full-time experience as a core faculty member in a CAA accredited MS-SLP program. • Experience in the holistic admissions process with leadership in the development and revision of admission criteria. • Enthusiasm and experience with data-driven implementation of holistic admissions processes. • Strong commitment to inclusion and diversity and ability to interact effectively with diverse applicants. • Demonstrates innovation, organization, problem-solving, leadership, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills in areas related to admissions and student success. • Understanding of higher education and contemporary clinical practice appropriate for leadership in speech-language pathology education. • Experience with the CAA accreditation process preferred. • Licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a Speech Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania. • Current certification as a CCC-SLP. • Active in professional activities at local, state, and/or national levels. Teaching and Education Responsibilities: • Coordinator of Admissions and Student Success will teach courses as assigned and/or agreed upon with institutional leadership. Workload will be adjusted based on program needs and division of responsibilities. • * Administration: 50% • Teaching: 30% • Clinical Practice: 5% • Scholarship/Research Mentoring: 10% • Service: 5% Scholarship Responsibilities: • Conduct and disseminate research/scholarship activities in accordance with accreditation requirements and institutional policies and procedures. Service Responsibilities: • Participate in institutional and professional service opportunities in accordance with accreditation requirements and institutional policies and procedures. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: • Full time, 12 months • Remote/Hybrid • Periodic travel to the Philadelphia metro area for intensive on-campus residency experiences and Chambersburg, PA for College functions.
