A Day in the life: In this role a as the Mgr Supply Chain- Projects will be responsible for driving strategic procurement, supplier management, and logistics execution to support capital project delivery in the midstream pipeline industry. This role ensures that procurement and supply chain strategies optimize cost, mitigate schedule risks, and uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance while aligning with the organization's long-term growth objectives. Responsibilities/Expectations: • Optimizes total cost of ownership, mitigates risk, collaborates with internal partners and critical suppliers • Leads supplier negotiations, optimizes inventory and handles spend to mitigate risk in operations and/or projects efficiently and competitively • Ensures supply chain policies are developed, implemented and carried out • Responsible for the company's procurement, inventory, transportation and logistics programs • Demonstrates a focus on continuous improvement to simplify processes, increase efficiencies and enhance business continuity plans • Ensures all goods/services procured meet quality and safety requirements as set forth by the organization • Coordinates workforce planning and career development for direct employees • Lead all aspects of effective communication with and support of operations, project execution, business development, and accounting • Develop and execute supply chain strategies that leverage market intelligence, supplier relationships, and risk management practices to reduce total cost of ownership and ensure timely project delivery. • Lead all procurement activities for capital projects, including supplier negotiations, contract management, transportation logistics, and on-site inventory control, ensuring seamless integration with project execution plans. • Direct supplier performance management, fostering partnerships that ensure reliable delivery of critical equipment, materials, and associated services. • Establish, implement, and continuously improve supply chain policies, practices, and systems to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability across the project lifecycle. • Collaborate closely with project managers, operations, project support services, and business development teams to ensure alignment of supply chain priorities with organizational strategy and project objectives. • Oversee workforce planning and development for the supply chain team, building capabilities and career growth opportunities that support a high-performance culture. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, logistics, and supplier engagement to strengthen competitiveness in a complex project environment. • Ensure all procured goods and services meet strict quality, safety, and regulatory standards consistent with organizational requirements. • Leverage data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making, identify risks and opportunities, and measure supply chain performance against defined goals. • Other duties as assigned Education/Years of Experience: • Required: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Construction, Accounting, Business, Engineering or Energy Management and a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in related function • Preferred: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in related function; ISM Certification Other Requirements: • Demonstrates enterprise awareness and safety as the utmost priority • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills, with emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint • Develops and applies strategy and tactics to resolve sophisticated supply chain problems • Global awareness of commodity and supply chain impacts, enterprise perspective • Exhibits change management, leadership and interpersonal skills • Strong background in capital project procurement and supply chain management within the midstream oil & gas sector.
