Description William Everett is seeking a Business Analyst with strong Power BI expertise and experience working with K-12 school districts or organizations that specialize in K-12 education. This role will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating educational and operational needs into clear requirements, data models, dashboards, and actionable insights. The ideal candidate is a clear communicator with strong analytical and technical skills. Requirements Key Responsibilities • Partner with K-12 stakeholders (e.g., district leadership, finance, operations, IT, instructional teams) to understand business needs and priorities • Elicit, document, and validate business, functional, and data requirements • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support decision-making across K-12 functions (e.g., finance, enrollment, staffing, academic performance, operations) • Analyze and transform data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and usability • Translate complex data and technical concepts into clear, stakeholder-friendly insights and recommendations • Support data governance, reporting standards, and best practices within a K-12 environment • Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and project managers to ensure solutions meet requirements and timeline • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations with both technical and non-technical audiences Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Education, Data Analytics, or a related field • Hands-on experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI • Experience working within a K-12 school district or with clients that specialize in K-12 education • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role • Strong understanding of data analysis, reporting, and visualization best practices • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly • Proven ability to work directly with clients or business stakeholders Additional requirements: • Ability to pass a criminal background check • Authorized to work in the US for any employer • Local in the Chicagoland area Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including: • Performance Bonus Eligible • 401(k) plan • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance • Life and disability insurance • Commuter Benefits • Paid time off options, including vacation, sick time, fixed holidays, parental leave.
