About Us: Wilderness Medical Staffing is a leading locum tenens healthcare staffing agency specializing in providing skilled nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physicians to underserved rural and remote communities in Alaska and the Western United States. Our mission is to ensure access to quality healthcare services in these challenging regions, bridging the gap between healthcare professionals and the communities in need. Position Overview: The core mission of the Director of Recruiting is to own the recruiting department and lead those in the department. The Director of Recruiting is responsible for ensuring that the recruiting department is delivering excellent customer service and developing an active pipeline of highly qualified 'A Player' medical providers. The Director serves as a key member of the Leadership Team and provides tactical and strategic input on vital issues facing the company, especially those concerning the Provider Experience. Responsibilities: • Drive Performance: Lead, train, and mentor the Recruiting team, setting clear performance goals, providing regular feedback, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. • Drive Growth: Identify and implement process and personnel improvements in the Recruiting Department • Drive Relationships: Drives industry-leading provider satisfaction, engagement, retention, and referrals. • Develop and maintain an expertise in key domains, including: healthcare qualifications/experience; the licensing process; the areas and communities we staff; trends for provider needs Required Competencies: • Coach - Builds competency and clarity among direct reports • Proactive - Seeks opportunities; combats problems while they are still small • Relationship builder - Builds and maintains healthy relationships with the WMS team, especially the recruiting department, as well as our clients and providers • Communication - Creates clarity and can effectively communicate priorities and resolve issues with our team, clients and providers • Decisive - Makes decisions quickly and effectively • Attention to detail - Knows what people are working on in relation to our goals • Strategic understanding - Understands the industry what will and will not work in order to grow Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience • Experience leading in the healthcare or healthcare staffing fields • Track record of success in previous positions • The competencies above • Excellent computer skills and experience including Microsoft Office Remote (Work-from-Home) Requirements: • Must be able to work and keep normal business hours • Dedicated work-from-home space (quiet, private). • Must have high-speed internet for video calls and daily job requirements. • This is a remote position. You must be a disciplined self-starter. Compensation & Benefits: • Competitive Base Salary w/ Incentives.
