Employment is dependent on Wilcore being awarded the associated federal contract. Candidates selected for this role will be contacted regarding a start date once award is confirmed. We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to help design and build user-facing applications that directly improve access to services for Veterans and their families. You'll work with modern JavaScript frameworks, follow federal accessibility standards, and collaborate with backend, design, and product teams to deliver reliable, user-centered digital services. Experience with the VA's design system, accessibility requirements, or federal digital service delivery is highly valued. What you'll bring: • Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred) and building responsive, component-based UIs. • Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript, including cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization. • Familiarity with state management tools such as Redux or similar frameworks. • Experience consuming and integrating with APIs, especially in high-security or large-scale systems. • Proven track record diagnosing and resolving production issues to improve system reliability and uptime. • Familiarity with the VA Design System, US Web Design System (USWDS), or other government design standards is a plus. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage dependencies, and deliver in complex environments. • Experience working in Agile development environments. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements: • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. In alignment with federal contract requirements, certain roles may also require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and/or a security clearance Education: • Bachelor's degree Salary Description $130,000 - $150,000
