Location: Remote (U.S.-based) Start Date: March 1, 2026 Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 Annually, with benefits and 2 weeks of vacation PTO Position Overview Widescope Consulting & Contracting Services is seeking a highly organized, execution-focused Operations & Finance Manager to serve as a direct assistant to the Chief Operating Officer. This is a hands-on role responsible for core financial, operational, and workforce activities within a government contracting environment. Key Responsibilities • Government Contract Billing • Own billing for all government contracts (approximately five active contracts) • Prepare, review, and submit compliant invoices • Manage AR and AP billing (Currently up to 10) and tracking and report on a weekly Basis • Maintain audit-ready billing documentation in consultation with the accountant. • Payroll Provider & 401(k) Transition • Lead the transition from Paychex to another PEO Provider • Serve as the primary internal point of contact for payroll and benefits vendors • Coordinate and support the 401(k) plan transition and employee communications • Payroll, Benefits & Workforce Operations • Review and submit biweekly payroll • Serve as primary contact for employee payroll, PTO, and benefits questions • Validate and ensure weekly timekeeping approvals • Bookkeeping & Financial Operations • Enter daily transactions into QuickBooks • Maintain accurate financial records and support reconciliations in conjunction with the accountant for DCAA Compliance • Operations Leadership • Run and participate in the weekly operations meeting with the CEO and COO • Prepare agendas, report metrics, and track action items for operational Optimization • Corporate Compliance • Interface with the company’s registered agent • Ensure annual reports and required filings are completed on time Qualifications • Strong organizational and execution skills • Payroll and operational experience required • Government contracting experience preferred • Familiarity with ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks preferred • Ability to manage confidential information in a remote environment Preferred Additional Qualifications: • Microsoft • 4 Year degree
