Job Title: Backend Engineer Company Overview: Widenet Consulting is a leading technology solutions provider specializing in cloud-based software development and digital transformation services. Role Overview: As a Backend Engineer at Widenet Consulting, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems. You will focus on building a robust document management system (DMS) deployed on AWS, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability. What You'll Do: - You will champion and own the design, development, and delivery of a robust document management system (DMS) deployed on AWS. - You will create and evolve document processing pipelines and storage solutions to handle large volumes of data efficiently. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, product managers, and QA to deliver high-quality software. - You will implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment. - You will monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability. - You will contribute to architectural decisions and help improve system scalability and security. - You will document technical specifications and provide support for ongoing maintenance. What You Bring: - 3+ years of experience in backend development with strong proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js. - Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and EC2. - Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture. - Experience with database design and management, both SQL and NoSQL. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. - Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with document management systems or content management platforms. - Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform. - Prior experience working in a fully remote US-based team.
