Job Title: Backend Engineer Company Overview: Widenet Consulting is a leading technology solutions provider specializing in cloud-based software development and digital transformation services. Role Overview: As a Backend Engineer at Widenet Consulting, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering a robust document management system (DMS) deployed on AWS. You will be responsible for creating and evolving document processing pipelines and storage solutions that meet high standards of performance and reliability. What You'll Do: - You will champion and own the design, development, and delivery of a scalable document management system. - You will create and evolve document processing pipelines to ensure efficient data handling. - You will develop and maintain backend services deployed on AWS infrastructure. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend components with front-end applications. - You will implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment. - You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain system reliability. - You will contribute to architectural decisions and continuous improvement initiatives. - You will ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in backend software development. - Strong proficiency in AWS services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and EC2. - Experience with document management systems or similar data processing pipelines. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js. - Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. - Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments. - Prior experience working in a fully remote US-based team.
