Job Title: Backend Engineer Company Overview: Widenet Consulting is a leading technology solutions provider specializing in cloud-based software development and digital transformation services. Role Overview: As a Backend Engineer at Widenet Consulting, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining a robust document management system (DMS) deployed on AWS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable backend services that enhance document processing and storage capabilities. What You'll Do: - You will champion and own the design, development, and delivery of a scalable document management system. - You will create and evolve document processing pipelines to ensure efficient data handling. - You will develop and maintain backend services deployed on AWS infrastructure. - You will collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software. - You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain system reliability. - You will implement best practices for code quality, security, and performance optimization. - You will participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. - You will document system architecture and development processes for team knowledge sharing. What You Bring: - 3+ years of experience in backend software development, preferably with cloud-based systems. - Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js. - Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and API Gateway. - Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture. - Experience with database design and management, both SQL and NoSQL. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with document management systems or content management platforms. - Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. - Prior experience working in fully remote teams within the US.
