Role Overview: As a Backend Engineer at Widenet Consulting, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining a robust document management system (DMS) deployed on AWS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable and efficient backend solutions that enhance document processing and storage capabilities. What You'll Do: - You will champion and own the design, development, and delivery of a scalable document management system. - You will create and evolve document processing pipelines to ensure efficient data handling. - You will manage and optimize storage solutions on AWS to support system performance and reliability. - You will collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless user experiences. - You will implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment. - You will troubleshoot and resolve backend issues to maintain system stability. - You will contribute to architectural decisions and continuous improvement initiatives. What You Bring: - You have 3+ years of experience in backend development, preferably with AWS cloud services. - You possess strong skills in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js. - You have experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices. - You are familiar with document management systems or similar data processing platforms. - You have a solid understanding of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL. - You demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and CloudFormation. - Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. - Prior experience working in a fully remote, US-based team.
