Role Overview: As a Backend Engineer at Widenet Consulting, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining a robust document management system (DMS) deployed on AWS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create efficient document processing pipelines and storage solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. What You'll Do: - You will champion and own the design, development, and delivery of a scalable document management system. - You will create and evolve document processing pipelines and storage architectures on AWS. - You will collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and high-quality releases. - You will optimize backend services for performance, reliability, and security. - You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to backend systems. - You will participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices. - You will document system designs, APIs, and operational procedures. What You Bring: - You have 3+ years of experience in backend software development. - You possess strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js. - You have hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, and EC2. - You understand RESTful API design and microservices architecture. - You have experience with database design and management, both SQL and NoSQL. - You are familiar with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with document management systems or content management platforms. - Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. - Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments. - Experience working in fully remote teams within the US.
