Join our growing team at Wholesum Billing as a Revenue Cycle Payment & Reconciliation Specialist. In this role, you will manage the full scope of payment posting, reconciliation, and revenue cycle operations. You will ensure prompt claim submission, correct payment application, research and resolve missing payments, and collaborate with coding and billing teams—all while working remotely in a supportive, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and send correct insurance claims for all specialties promptly. • Research and resolve payment discrepancies, denials, and missing/unapplied payments. • Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable and communicate with payers to secure payment. • Maintain detailed records and reports of payments, reconciliations, and discrepancies. Required Qualifications • Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing, payment posting, and reconciliation. • Strong knowledge of EOBs, ERAs, ICD-10, CPT, and insurance billing processes. • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care claims and denials. • Experience in Urgent Care setting • Strong understanding of insurance correspondence and payer portals. • Excellent diligence, organization, and critical thinking skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas, tables, graphs). Preferred Qualifications • Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Medical Billing & Coding, Accounting, Finance, Health Information Technology, or a related field • Revenue Cycle Management certification (AHIMA, AAPC, or similar). • Continuing education in reimbursement, compliance, and payer policy update • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) for all specialties – requested. • Certification in payment posting (e.g., CPB or equivalent) – requested.
