We are a locally owned veterinary hospital located in the Cedar Park Leander area. We are looking for a veterinary receptionist who has a passion for this profession and a desire to learn more. We are currently a 4 doctor practice. We strive to practice high quality medicine while paying attention to the small details. We take time by using fear free methods in handling animals and enjoy working up challenging cases. We are looking for someone who enjoys a team environment with a great attitude. Location: Cedar Park, Texas Receptionist duties: • *Great personality with the ability to talk and engage clients, good interpersonal skills.** 1. Must be able to work well with others in a fast paced environment. 2. Multitask in a calm, organized, and efficient manner. 3. Take and place calls to clients for scheduling, taking information, and providing necessary instructions. 4. Properly document records, medical history, and client communications. 5. Use hospital computer systems in order to facilitate documentation. 6. Accurately open and close transactions with cash and POS credit card machine. 7. Keep a positive attitude and demeanor in all interactions with clients, patients, and team members. Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting is required. At least 1 year of customer service experience 1. Basic use of standard office equipment. 2. Strong organizational skills. 3. Flexible schedule including some Saturday shifts. 4. Ability to accept direction on some assignments. 5. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks. 6. Possess strong written and verbal skills. 7. Ability to manage stressful situations and have good judgment. Hospital Hours: M-F 8-6, Saturday 8-12 (we sometimes see patients until 1 or 2) Pay: based on experience We also offer paid time off, medical insurance, paid sick leave, and discounts on personal pet care.
