HR Specialist (Contract) Location: Southlake, TX 76092 Onsite: Monday -Friday Pay Rate: $21-25/hour Start Date: June 22, 2026 Position Summary Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and professional HR Specialist to support daily Human Resources operations. This role requires a strong balance of administrative expertise, analytical skills, and HR functional knowledge. The HR Specialist will play a key role in organizing workflows, managing communications, supporting data-driven decision-making, and ensuring overall efficiency within the HR department. Key Responsibilities • Manage and organize the HR department inbox, ensuring all inquiries are categorized, prioritized, and directed appropriately • Provide support across core HR functions, including Payroll, Benefits, Employee Relations, Onboarding, Leave of Absence (LOA), and Compliance • Analyze HR data using Excel and other systems to identify trends and support reporting needs • Assist in preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations for HR leadership • Partner with HR leadership to interpret workforce data and contribute to strategic insights • Support internal and external audits by gathering, organizing, and validating HR data • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS systems • Respond to employee and manager inquiries in a timely and professional manner • Track deadlines, ensure follow-ups, and maintain organized documentation • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support HR initiatives and process improvements • Assist with process development to improve efficiency and organization across HR operations Qualifications • 2+ years of Human Resources, HR coordination, or HR administrative experience required • Strong knowledge of HR functions, processes, and terminology • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and tracking • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide insights • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative Preferred Qualifications • Experience with HRIS systems; Paylocity preferred • Exposure to HR analytics, reporting, and workforce metrics • Experience supporting HR audits and compliance processes • Ability to create presentations and communicate data to leadership • Experience working in a fast-paced HR environment Core Competencies • Data analysis and reporting • Organizational excellence and attention to detail • Professional communication and presentation skills • Problem-solving and critical thinking • Time management and multitasking • Confidentiality and integrity What We’re Looking For • A highly organized HR professional with strong attention to detail • A data-driven thinker who can analyze and interpret information effectively • A polished and professional communicator comfortable working with leadership • A proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment • Someone who can bring structure and efficiency to HR processes
