Our client, a rapidly expanding logistics and supply chain provider, is looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee operations at their state-of-the-art facility in Nashville, Tennessee, US . This is a critical role requiring hands-on leadership and a strategic approach to optimizing warehouse efficiency and effectiveness. As the Warehouse Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control. You will lead a dedicated team of warehouse associates and supervisors, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and continuous improvement. Your primary objective will be to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders while maintaining high standards of quality and cost control. Key responsibilities include: Managing all inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Developing and implementing operational procedures to optimize workflow and resource utilization. Leading, training, and motivating a team of warehouse staff to achieve performance targets. Overseeing inventory management processes, including cycle counts and discrepancy resolution, to maintain inventory accuracy. Implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting on operational performance to senior management. Collaborating with procurement, sales, and customer service departments to ensure seamless supply chain integration. Managing budgets and controlling operational costs effectively. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and upkeep. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) effectively for tracking and reporting. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus. Proven experience (5+ years) in warehouse management or a similar operations leadership role. Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and logistics. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse workforce. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities. Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software. Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure work environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
