Our client, a leader in the distribution of consumer goods, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Supply Chain Analyst to join their growing operations team in Austin, Texas, US . This role is pivotal in optimizing our supply chain processes, improving efficiency, and reducing costs across all facets of logistics and inventory management. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex supply chain data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Key duties include forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, evaluating supplier performance, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain principles, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency with data analysis tools and software, including advanced Excel and potentially SQL or specialized supply chain planning software. Responsibilities: Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities. Develop and maintain demand forecasts to optimize inventory levels. Monitor inventory performance and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory. Evaluate supplier performance and collaborate with procurement on sourcing strategies. Track and report on key supply chain metrics and KPIs. Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and processes. Collaborate with logistics, warehousing, and operations teams to ensure smooth product flow. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions. Prepare regular reports and presentations on supply chain performance for management. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or in a similar analytical role. Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, logistics, and inventory control. Proficiency in advanced Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros) and data analysis techniques. Experience with supply chain planning software or ERP systems is a plus. Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for cross-functional collaboration. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
