Full Description

Our client, a globally recognized leader in its field, is seeking an exceptional Senior Cloud Security Architect to join their fully remote team. This high-impact role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security architectures for our cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will be at the forefront of defining and enforcing security policies, standards, and best practices to protect sensitive data and systems against evolving threats. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in cloud security principles, threat modeling, incident response, and security automation. Responsibilities include architecting secure cloud solutions, conducting security reviews of cloud deployments, and developing comprehensive security controls and countermeasures. You will lead the assessment and implementation of security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, and encryption solutions within cloud environments. Developing and maintaining security documentation, including architecture diagrams, security standards, and compliance reports, will be a key duty. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and development teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps). Proactively identifying potential security vulnerabilities and developing remediation strategies is essential. This role also involves staying abreast of the latest cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements, and advising the organization accordingly. Experience in developing and implementing automated security workflows and tools is highly desirable. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required; a Master's degree or relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security - Specialty) are strongly preferred. A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 4 years focused on cloud security architecture and implementation, is essential. Demonstrable experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their native security services is a must. Strong understanding of network security, cryptography, identity and access management (IAM), and data protection is required. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills are paramount. Superior communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, are necessary. This fully remote position offers a unique opportunity to shape the security posture of a leading organization and work with a talented, distributed team.
