Our client is a rapidly growing tech company focused on developing innovative SaaS solutions and is looking for a talented Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their team in Minneapolis, Minnesota, US . This hybrid role offers the chance to work on challenging projects, contribute to a robust architecture, and mentor junior developers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend development, a strong understanding of scalable systems, and a passion for writing clean, efficient code. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend services and APIs using (mention a popular backend language like Python, Java, or Node.js). Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to translate user requirements into technical solutions. Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring code quality. Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability. Design and implement database schemas and queries, ensuring data integrity and performance. Troubleshoot and debug production issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, helping to shape the future of our platform. Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices and technical challenges. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending their adoption where appropriate. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. Ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development. Expertise in at least one modern backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Node.js). Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and microservices architecture. Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra). Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and version control systems (e.g., Git). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. This hybrid role requires some on-site engagement for team collaboration and strategic meetings.
