Our client is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Lead Sports Performance Analyst to join their innovative, fully remote team. This role is dedicated to leveraging data and technology to enhance athletic performance, optimize training methodologies, and inform strategic decisions within the sports domain. You will be instrumental in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting vast amounts of athlete and team data to provide actionable insights that drive success on and off the field. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing data collection protocols, utilizing advanced analytics tools and software (e.g., Catapult, Hudl, custom dashboards) to track key performance indicators, and generating comprehensive reports and visualizations for coaches, athletes, and management. You will also be responsible for identifying trends, predicting potential performance issues, and recommending specific interventions to improve athlete conditioning, prevent injuries, and maximize game-day readiness. Collaboration with coaching staff to integrate performance insights into training and tactical planning will be a core function. Staying at the forefront of sports science research and emerging analytical technologies is crucial. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Sports Science, Kinesiology, Data Science, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of experience in sports performance analysis, preferably with professional or elite-level teams. Proven expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and the application of performance tracking technologies is essential. A deep understanding of biomechanics, physiology, and training principles is required. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for diverse audiences, are paramount. As this is a fully remote position, strong self-discipline, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a virtual environment are necessary.
