Our client seeks a bright and analytical Energy Systems Analyst to contribute to their forward-thinking initiatives in San Antonio, Texas, US . This role is integral to evaluating, optimizing, and developing strategies for energy efficiency and sustainable energy solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, a deep understanding of energy markets, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. You will conduct detailed analyses of energy consumption patterns, evaluate the performance of various energy systems, and model future energy scenarios. Key responsibilities include performing cost-benefit analyses for energy efficiency projects, assessing the feasibility of renewable energy integrations, and monitoring energy market trends. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and financial teams to identify opportunities for energy savings and operational improvements. The development of reports, presentations, and recommendations for management will be a significant part of your role. Familiarity with energy modeling software, data analysis tools, and relevant industry best practices is essential. Develop and utilize energy modeling tools to simulate system performance and forecast energy usage. Conduct cost-benefit analyses for energy efficiency upgrades and renewable energy installations. Research and analyze energy market dynamics, regulatory changes, and technological advancements. Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings, recommendations, and project outcomes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement energy saving strategies. Monitor the effectiveness of implemented energy conservation measures. Assist in the development of long-term energy management plans. Support business development efforts by providing technical expertise on energy-related projects. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Energy), Environmental Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in energy analysis, energy management, or a related field. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods. Experience with energy modeling software (e.g., eQUEST, EnergyPlus, IES VE) and tools. Familiarity with energy markets, utility rates, and incentive programs. Knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and renewable energy systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
