Our client, a rapidly expanding logistics and supply chain provider, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee their state-of-the-art distribution facility in Austin, Texas, US . This position is critical to ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of inventory, optimizing operational workflows, and leading a dedicated team of warehouse professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management systems, lean methodologies, and a proven ability to drive operational excellence in a high-volume environment. Key responsibilities include managing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping, to meet or exceed performance targets. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance the accuracy of inventory management. Leading, training, and motivating the warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, performance, and continuous improvement, is paramount. Overseeing the effective use of warehouse equipment and technology, including WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and automation, will be a core duty. You will also manage budgets, control operational expenses, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Analyzing performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions are essential. Collaboration with other departments, such as transportation, inventory control, and customer service, to ensure seamless supply chain operations is key. Ensure accurate inventory management and control through robust processes and systems. Optimize warehouse layout and workflows for maximum efficiency. Implement and maintain strict safety protocols and ensure regulatory compliance. Manage warehouse budgets and control operational expenses. Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage operations. Collaborate with transportation and other departments to ensure seamless supply chain flow. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvements based on data analysis. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in a high-volume distribution environment. Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other warehouse technologies. Strong understanding of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
