Our client, a leading global provider of logistics and supply chain solutions, is seeking an experienced and strategic Supply Chain Operations Manager to join their fully remote team. This is a critical role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability of our extensive logistics and warehousing operations. You will be instrumental in managing inventory, transportation, and distribution networks, ensuring seamless operations from origin to destination. This is a remote-first position, offering the flexibility to manage complex operations from anywhere while collaborating with a dedicated team of supply chain professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain best practices. Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize supply chain operations, including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation. Manage and oversee daily logistics activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains. Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems to minimize stockouts and overstocking. Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and suppliers. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain operations, providing regular reports to senior management. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including transportation safety and customs requirements. Lead and motivate a remote team of logistics and warehouse professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Implement and manage supply chain technology solutions, such as WMS and TMS systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and manufacturing, to align supply chain strategies with business objectives. Drive process improvements and best practices throughout the supply chain. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations management. Proven track record in managing complex logistics and warehousing operations. Strong understanding of inventory management, transportation modes, and distribution strategies. Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and TMS (Transportation Management Systems). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, particularly in a remote setting. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI tools). Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and geographies.
