Our client is looking for an innovative and results-driven Sports Marketing Manager to join their dynamic team in Detroit, Michigan, US . This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility, drive fan engagement, and support revenue generation for their sports properties. You will oversee all aspects of marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, social media, content creation, public relations, and event promotion. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the sports industry, a proven track record in developing successful marketing initiatives, and strong leadership skills. You will collaborate closely with various internal departments, including sales, communications, and operations, as well as external partners and sponsors, to achieve marketing objectives. Responsibilities: Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies and campaigns across multiple channels to achieve organizational goals. Manage the brand's presence across all digital platforms, including social media, website, and email marketing. Create engaging and compelling content (written, visual, video) that resonates with sports fans. Oversee public relations efforts, including media outreach, press releases, and crisis communications. Plan and execute marketing plans for sporting events, ensuring maximum attendance and fan engagement. Develop and manage relationships with sponsors, partners, and media outlets. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and fan demographics to identify new opportunities. Track and report on key marketing metrics (e.g., website traffic, social media engagement, lead generation, ROI). Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources. Collaborate with the sales team to develop marketing collateral and support revenue-generating initiatives. Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Ensure brand consistency across all marketing communications and touchpoints. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in sports marketing, with a proven track record of success. In-depth knowledge of the sports industry, including fan behavior, media landscape, and sponsorship opportunities. Strong experience in digital marketing, social media management, content creation, and analytics. Excellent strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills. Proven ability to manage budgets, projects, and teams effectively. Outstanding written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Experience with marketing automation tools and CRM systems. Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment in Detroit, Michigan, US .
