Our client, a leading and rapidly expanding e-commerce fulfillment provider, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Warehouse Operations Manager to lead their state-of-the-art facility. This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to manage operations from your home office while overseeing a critical distribution hub. You will be responsible for optimizing all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, inventory management, order picking, packing, and shipping, with a strong focus on efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. This role requires a deep understanding of lean methodologies, WMS systems, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will lead a team of supervisors and associates, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and operational excellence. Responsibilities: Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow from receiving to shipping. Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory accuracy, reduce cycle times, and minimize operational costs. Manage and lead a team of warehouse supervisors and associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and implement best practices to maintain a safe working environment. Manage the selection, implementation, and optimization of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with transportation, procurement, and customer service departments to ensure seamless supply chain integration. Manage warehouse labor planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet demand fluctuations. Implement lean warehousing principles to drive process improvements and eliminate waste. Conduct regular audits of operational processes and inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance. Develop and manage the warehouse operating budget, controlling expenses and maximizing profitability. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and operational excellence. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations management, with a strong focus on e-commerce fulfillment. Proven track record of successfully managing high-volume distribution centers. In-depth knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control principles. Experience with lean manufacturing or lean warehousing methodologies. Strong leadership, team-building, and people management skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in data analysis and KPI tracking. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within warehouse environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fully remote work environment, demonstrating strong self-discipline and time management. Experience with automation technologies in warehousing is a plus.
