Our client, a distinguished real estate investment firm, is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Real Estate Investment Analyst to join their team in **Chicago, Illinois, US**. This role is integral to identifying, evaluating, and executing profitable real estate investment opportunities across various property types, including commercial, residential, and industrial assets. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth market research, financial modeling, due diligence, and deal structuring for potential acquisitions and developments. The ideal candidate possesses a strong quantitative background, excellent financial analysis skills, and a comprehensive understanding of real estate valuation methods. Responsibilities include preparing investment memorandums, presenting recommendations to the investment committee, and monitoring the performance of existing portfolio assets. You will work closely with external brokers, lenders, and legal counsel throughout the transaction process. Proficiency in Excel, Argus Enterprise, and other financial modeling software is essential. Key Responsibilities: Analyze potential real estate investment opportunities (acquisitions, developments, dispositions). Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis. Develop detailed financial models, including DCF, LBO, and sensitivity analyses. Perform comprehensive due diligence on potential transactions. Prepare investment memorandums and present findings to senior management. Monitor and analyze the performance of existing portfolio assets. Assist in deal structuring, negotiation, and closing processes. Build and maintain relationships with brokers, lenders, and other industry professionals. Stay abreast of real estate market trends and economic conditions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field. Proven experience as a Real Estate Investment Analyst or in a similar financial role. Strong financial modeling skills using Excel and Argus Enterprise. Comprehensive understanding of real estate valuation methods and capital markets. Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to conduct thorough due diligence and market research. Strong presentation and communication skills. MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
