Our client, a prominent agency in the heart of the nation's capital, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Public Relations Manager to join their esteemed team in **Washington, D.C., US**. This role requires a seasoned PR professional with a proven track record of developing and executing impactful media relations, crisis communications, and corporate reputation strategies. You will be responsible for managing key client accounts, crafting compelling narratives, and securing positive media coverage across a variety of platforms. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing comprehensive public relations strategies for diverse clients across various industries. Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with national and local media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Crafting press releases, media pitches, speeches, and other communication materials. Managing media inquiries and coordinating interviews. Developing and executing crisis communication plans. Monitoring media coverage and analyzing campaign effectiveness. Advising clients on communication strategies and potential reputational risks. Leading PR campaigns from conception through execution and evaluation. Managing junior PR staff and providing mentorship. Staying abreast of industry trends, news cycles, and competitive landscapes. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. A minimum of 7-9 years of progressive experience in public relations, agency or in-house, is required, with demonstrable experience in media relations, strategic communications, and crisis management. Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills are essential. Strong understanding of the media landscape, particularly in the Washington D.C. political and policy environment, is highly valued. Proven ability to develop and execute successful PR campaigns and manage multiple high-profile clients simultaneously is a must.
