Our client, a rapidly expanding logistics and transportation company, is seeking a highly organized and proactive Fleet Operations Manager to join their team in a fully remote capacity. This role is crucial for optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of our extensive delivery fleet. The Fleet Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the fleet, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to all regulatory and company standards. This includes overseeing driver scheduling, route optimization, vehicle maintenance coordination, and fuel management. You will leverage telematics and fleet management software to monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to reduce operational costs and enhance delivery times. Key responsibilities involve maintaining strong communication channels with drivers and dispatch teams, providing support, and addressing any operational challenges promptly. You will also be involved in ensuring compliance with transportation regulations, safety protocols, and company policies. The role requires a deep understanding of logistics, supply chain principles, and the specific challenges associated with managing a large, dispersed fleet. Experience with performance metrics, KPIs, and reporting is essential. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Strong leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and manage a team, even remotely, are critical. Proficiency in fleet management software and data analysis tools is required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in fleet management, transportation, or logistics operations. Proven track record in optimizing fleet performance, reducing costs, and improving delivery efficiency. Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements. Experience with fleet management software and telematics systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with drivers and internal stakeholders remotely. Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to manage a team effectively from a distance. Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at working independently in a remote environment. Must be authorized to work in the US.
