Our client, a rapidly growing logistics company, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee their supply chain operations in **Jacksonville, Florida, US**. This hybrid role requires a balance of on-site leadership and strategic remote planning. You will be responsible for optimizing warehouse operations, managing transportation logistics, ensuring efficient inventory control, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. You will manage a team of warehouse staff and logistics coordinators, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels. Manage transportation logistics, including carrier relationships, route optimization, and freight management. Ensure accurate and efficient inventory control and management systems are in place. Lead and motivate a team of operations staff, providing training, performance feedback, and fostering a positive work environment. Implement and enforce health, safety, and security policies and procedures within the warehouse. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports on operational performance. Collaborate with sales, customer service, and procurement teams to ensure seamless supply chain flow. Identify and implement process improvements using lean principles or other methodologies. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and vendors. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards. Participate in strategic planning for supply chain network design and optimization. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in operations management, with a strong focus on warehouse and logistics operations. Proven experience managing a warehouse environment and transportation logistics. Solid understanding of inventory management principles and systems (e.g., WMS). Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using ERP systems and logistics software. Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis for performance improvement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote strategic work with on-site operational oversight. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehousing. APICS or CSCP certification is a plus.
