Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Industrial Process Engineer to oversee and optimize manufacturing processes at their facility in Raleigh, North Carolina, US . This is a hybrid role, requiring a balance of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving efficiency, improving quality, and implementing innovative solutions within our industrial operations. This role demands a strategic thinker with a robust background in process improvement methodologies and a passion for operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and implementation of new industrial processes and the improvement of existing ones. Analyze process data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization, utilizing statistical tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing). Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including flowcharts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and maintenance, to ensure seamless process integration and execution. Oversee the selection, installation, and validation of new equipment and technologies. Conduct feasibility studies and pilot tests for new processes or process modifications. Develop and implement control strategies to ensure consistent product quality and process stability. Train and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on process engineering principles and best practices. Manage projects related to process improvements, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to industrial engineering and manufacturing. Contribute to the overall strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives of the manufacturing division. Ensure all processes comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in industrial process engineering, with a significant portion in a leadership or supervisory role. Proven expertise in process analysis, design, and optimization using methodologies like Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred) and Lean Manufacturing. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights. Excellent project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams. Proficiency in process simulation software and statistical analysis tools. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the sector relevant to our operations. Familiarity with CAD software and process control systems is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to adapt to a hybrid work environment, effectively managing time between remote and on-site responsibilities.
