Our client, a highly respected organization dedicated to fostering the healthy development of young children, is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Early Childhood Development Specialist. This role is instrumental in designing and implementing engaging educational programs that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth in children from infancy through preschool age. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education, coupled with a genuine passion for nurturing young minds. Responsibilities: Develop, plan, and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that support holistic child development. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones and individual needs. Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Build positive and collaborative relationships with children, parents, and guardians. Provide guidance and support to parents on child development topics and parenting strategies. Incorporate diverse learning materials and teaching methodologies to cater to different learning styles. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations. Collaborate with other educators and specialists to share insights and best practices. Maintain accurate and confidential records of children's development and participation. Organize and lead parent-teacher conferences and workshops. Continuously seek professional development opportunities to stay current in the field of early childhood education. Promote positive social interactions and emotional regulation among children. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience working directly with young children in an educational setting. In-depth knowledge of child development theories (e.g., Piaget, Vygotsky) and age-appropriate learning practices. Experience with curriculum development and assessment tools. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations of children and families. Patience, creativity, and a nurturing disposition. CPR and First Aid certification required. Background check clearance is mandatory.
