What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and implement engineering solutions to improve manufacturing processes. - You will analyze production data to identify areas for operational improvements. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and industrial issues. - You will ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the plant. - You will lead projects focused on equipment maintenance and process automation. - You will support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs. - You will prepare technical documentation and reports for management review. - You will participate in training and mentoring junior engineers and technicians. What You Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial or mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment. - Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and equipment maintenance. - Proficiency in CAD software and data analysis tools. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the wood products or forestry industry. - Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. - Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification. - Experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems.
