What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and implement mechanical and industrial engineering solutions to optimize mill operations. - You will troubleshoot and resolve equipment and process issues to minimize downtime. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards. - You will conduct regular inspections and maintenance planning to uphold equipment reliability. - You will analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvements. - You will support capital projects from conception through commissioning. - You will provide technical guidance and training to operations personnel. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence. What You Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial or mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment. - Strong knowledge of automated manufacturing systems and industrial equipment. - Proficiency in CAD software and engineering analysis tools. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the wood products or forestry industry. - Familiarity with safety management systems and regulatory compliance. - Project management experience. - Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
