What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and implement mechanical and industrial engineering solutions to optimize manufacturing processes. - You will troubleshoot and resolve equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives. - You will ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of safety in all engineering activities. - You will analyze data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for operational enhancements. - You will manage projects from concept through completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence. - You will support maintenance teams with technical expertise and training. - You will stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation. What You Bring: - A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. - At least 3 years of experience in industrial or mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment. - Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and equipment maintenance. - Proficiency in CAD software and engineering analysis tools. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. - Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in the wood products or related manufacturing industry. - Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. - Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification. - Experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems.
