Lead end-to-end release management and operational readiness for a pricing platform using DevOps practices.
Lead experience in release management governance, user acceptance testing, operational readiness, cloud computing (AWS), and 5+ years in technology.
Position location: Austin, TX Role Responsibilities Provide end-to-end Release Management for the pricing platform, driving operational readiness, and governance through strong DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless deployments by implementing repeatable release processes, UAT strategies, and CI/CD automation, while collaborating across engineering, QA, and operations to deliver high-quality, user-focused releases. Define and run a repeatable, audit ready release process (cadence, entry/exit criteria, approvals, change windows, rollback patterns). Chair release planning and Go/NoGo forums; maintain the release calendar and ensure alignment across product, engineering, QA, security, and operations. Own the health of build and deployment pipelines; drive automation for build, test, security scanning, and promotion across environments. Continuously improve speed, reliability, and traceability; keep Infrastructure as Code (IaC) resilient, secure, compliant, and cost-effective. Drive cross-functional initiatives (e.g., CI/CD improvements, audit readiness, disaster recovery planning). Track progress, manage risks, and align stakeholders for effective partnerships between business and operations. Champion test coverage, system observability, and post-incident review practices. Ensure systems are resilient, and issues are quickly diagnosed. Monitor and improve build pipelines, automate quality checks, and ensure infrastructure as Code (IaC) is resilient, secure, compliant, and cost-effective. Champion coding standards, maintain documentation, and promote knowledge sharing across teams. Define and track key health metrics. Report progress to leadership and other stakeholders. Role Requirements Proven experience working as a lead or management level in various roles within the Release Management Governance area is essential; User Acceptance Testing and Operational Readiness experience is a must; Must possess a strong technical and process background including process knowledge of Cloud Computing (AWS Preferred) and System Development Life Cycles (Agile approaches); Extensive experience with Quality Assurance and Quality Control; Solid project management skills – on time results, managing cross functional teams, planning, budgeting and resource allocations skills; Proven experience in creating and overseeing quality processes; Strong knowledge of testing and defect tracking tools; Experience in the electronic channels (web, mobile, tablet, etc.) and has lead teams addressing challenges in these areas. 5+ years of experience in the technology industry with a specific background in program management, operations, and/or technology functions. Bachelor’s in computer science or similar field OR equivalent work experience. Understanding API, microservices, frontend, backend, AWS services, on-prem infrastructure, technology operations, CI/CD pipelines, etc. Experience working with Jira, Confluence, project planning, and Agile/Scrum teams Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Develop and deliver clear, concise, and timely program status updates to all stakeholders. Proven track record coordinating cross-functional technology initiatives Preferred Skills Certifications Preferred: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Salary Annual base salary range is $135,000 - 160,000 USD per year. Total on-target compensation includes a base salary and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance.
