Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant at Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA) supports the agency's mission to provide aging services across several Ohio counties. Reporting to the Director of Community Outreach & Advocacy, this non-exempt role focuses on managing communications, promoting agency programs, drafting newsletters, maintaining outreach efforts, and coordinating events such as health fairs and expos. The position is integral to enhancing the agency's visibility and supporting older adults in the community. Job Duties: • Assist in tasks related to Department communications and promotions, including: • Draft Department newsletters • Create, updates and maintain an external group lists. • Keep track of community outreach efforts and sponsorships • Assist with promotion and planning of Agency programs/events. • Create and edit publications to promote Agency programs. • Assist with coordinating, covering, and planning expos, health fairs and special events. • Coordinate Speakers Bureau requests. • Miscellaneous tasks that are related to promoting the Agency and its programs in the community and assisting the community outreach team as needed. • Perform other related duties as assigned. • High school Diploma, associate's degree preferred in communications or related field • Minimum of five years prior work experience • Proficient writing and professional verbal communication skills • Must be knowledgeable about programs and services for the aging and persons with disabilities. • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Publisher, Nitro, Teams, Zoom, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook and MS Excel. • Ability to lift to 30 lbs. and move boxes and display materials. • Must have a valid Ohio driver's license, proof of auto liability insurance, and a car available during workdays If you are passionate about your work and dedicated to improving the lives of aging individuals, we would love to hear from you.
