Lead process improvement initiatives and develop a scalable business process framework focused on strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cross-departmental collaboration.
Requires 5+ years in procurement or supplier management, expertise in strategic sourcing, risk management, process excellence methodologies, and strong leadership and analytical skills.
Description: • Design and implement a scalable and sustainable business process framework aligning organizational goals • Define and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for consistency across teams • Lead execution of process improvement initiatives across departments (operations, HR, finance, product development) • Conduct process mapping and root cause analysis to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies • Develop and lead process optimization projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies • Develop and implement training programs to upskill teams on process excellence principles and tools • Act as subject matter expert (SME) providing coaching and guidance to departmental leaders • Facilitate workshops and cross-functional meetings to foster continuous improvement • Define and manage KPIs and metrics; provide regular reporting to VP of Strategic Sourcing and senior leadership • Champion change management and engage stakeholders to ensure adoption of new processes • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and stay current with industry best practices • Focus on end-to-end process lifecycle, supplier relationship management, business continuity and risk management, supplier selection processes, market intelligence, financial reporting, governance and skills development roadmap • Reports to VP of Strategic Sourcing Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred) • 5+ years of experience in procurement, supplier management, or process excellence roles • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, risk management, and supplier engagement strategies • Deep understanding of process excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) and program management • Deep understanding of end-to-end Strategic Sourcing and Procurement processes and procurement best practices • Expertise in supplier segmentation, QBRs, and performance management • Proficiency in RASCI modeling, OKR frameworks, and program governance • Strong analytical, financial, and market intelligence capabilities • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills Benefits: • paid vacation time • paid sick leave • medical/dental/vision insurance • life, accident and disability insurance • tax-advantaged flexible spending and health savings accounts • employee assistance program • other voluntary benefit programs such as supplemental life and AD&D, legal plan, pet insurance, critical illness, accident and hospital indemnity • tuition reimbursement • transit • the Applause Program • employee stock purchase plan • Western Digital Savings 401(k) Plan • Eligibility to be considered for bonuses under Western Digital’s Short Term Incentive Plan (STI Plan) or the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) • Eligibility to participate in annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program (RSUs or cash equivalents) and RSU awards for eligible new hires
