8+ years in data engineering, leadership experience, expertise in modern data tools and architectures, and API development skills.
Job Description: • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data and platform engineers. • Define the technical vision and roadmap for the data engineering organization. • Partner with leaders across Business Intelligence, Product, Engineering, Tech, and Business teams to translate business needs into a scalable data strategy. • Oversee the design, build, and maintenance of robust data pipelines and ELT/ETL frameworks. • Architect scalable data models and storage solutions aligned with enterprise data standards. • Ensure data systems adhere to best-in-class performance, security, governance, reliability, and scalability. • Evaluate, introduce, and manage modern data tools and technologies. • Lead and improve end-to-end data lifecycle processes, including ingestion, transformation, quality, testing, and monitoring. • Implement data observability and CI/CD for data pipelines. • Ensure optimal performance, uptime, and resilience of mission-critical data workflows. • Design, build, and maintain high-performance APIs and data services that support internal and external applications. • Design and deploy event-driven data processing solutions using AWS Lambda, SQS, SNS, and related serverless patterns. • Lead the development of real-time and streaming data ingestion pipelines using platforms such as Kinesis, Kafka, or equivalent technologies Requirements: • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, including 3+ years in a leadership or management role • Deep hands-on expertise with the modern data stack technologies (e.g. AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, GitHub, Matillion, Openflow, Fivetran, etc.) • Proven track record architecting large-scale, distributed data systems. • Experience implementing automated testing, CI/CD, data quality frameworks, and observability tools. • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex data topics to technical and non-technical audiences. • Background in designing multi-environment (dev/staging/prod) data ecosystems. • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and DevOps practices. • Hands-on experience building, maintaining, and integrating APIs (REST, GraphQL, or similar) as part of data products or internal data services.
