Job Description This position will require assisting customers with selecting and purchasing items in the bakery department while also delivering great customer service. In this position, a high level of product knowledge will be required. Employee Benefits • 20% employee discount active on your first day of employment • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Short-Term Disability insurance for eligible team members • 401k Retirement Plan for eligible team members • Paid vacation for full-time team members who have completed one year of service with Westborn Market • Paid Sick Leave for eligible team members • Team lunches Check out a few of our Market Legends and hear their stories! https://westbornmarket.com/market-legends Essential Duties And Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: • Bakes off pastry case items such as muffins, croissants, scones etc according to set times • Makes a variety of parfaits, dips, and other bakery specific items while following written recipes • Is comfortable using commercial baking equipment such as ovens, knives, bread slicers, etc. • Stocks and rotates bakery merchandise as directed • Prepares, packages, and prices product as directed • Assists customers with orders placed • Maintains clean and organized work area free of hazards in accordance with food safety best practice • Provides exceptional customer service • Keeps a positive and helpful attitude during length of shift • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities) • Proper phone etiquette while taking orders or messages • Ability to write legible and read with comprehension at a level where it applies to this positio Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
