Job Description The Assistant Store Director will be responsible for helping oversee daily operations to keep our store running smoothly and consistently. Employee Benefits • 20% employee discount active on your first day of employment • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Short-Term Disability insurance for eligible team members • 401k Retirement Plan for eligible team members • Paid vacation for full-time team members who have completed one year of service with Westborn Market • Paid Sick Leave for eligible team members • Team lunches Check out a few of our Market Legends and hear their stories! https://westbornmarket.com/market-legends Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: • Helps to manage day to day store operations including opening and closing procedures • Fully trained in all departments to assist as needed • Works closely with department managers to help aid in areas of need such as development of staff, merchandising, scheduling, and ordering • Implements and upholds new and existing initiatives • Aids the store director in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new employees • Engages and interacts with the public to offer quality customer service and ensures customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved • Prioritizes tasks appropriately and can re-prioritize with ease • Demonstrates problem solving skills in a fast-paced customer-oriented work environment • Assists with other miscellaneous items as assigned by Store Director Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) • High School Diploma • 2+ years supervisory experience preferred • Able to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays • Ability to multitask and switch roles with ease • Excellent verbal and written communications skills Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
