Full Description

Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Automotive Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dealership operations, automotive diagnostics, and repair estimation. This role involves evaluating vehicle damages, preparing accurate repair estimates, and communicating effectively with customers and technicians. An understanding of various automotive systems, including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and diesel engines, is essential. The Estimator will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction through precise assessments and excellent service writing skills. Responsibilities • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess damages and determine necessary repairs. • Prepare detailed repair estimates utilizing automotive estimating software and manual calculations. • Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair procedures, costs, and timelines. • Collaborate with service technicians to understand repair scope and ensure accurate estimations. • Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, and suspension work when appropriate. • Manage service writing tasks efficiently to facilitate smooth workflow within the shop. • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of automotive repair procedures including auto body repair, air brake systems, shocks & struts, and diesel engine repairs. • Handle cash transactions accurately when applicable and ensure proper documentation of estimates and repairs.
