Full Description

We are WSSRA and we offer recreation programs for children and adults who have physical impairments, intellectual disabilities, or any other form of disability. PAY RATE: 15 dollars per hour MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: • Show dedication to assigned seasonal programs and attend all required orientation sessions • Take part in activities and motivate participants to be engaged throughout the program • Provide assistance with daily living needs such as toileting, feeding, dressing, transferring and pushing a wheelchair when needed • Help support the WSSRA safety practices by staying aware of the wellbeing of all participants • Work with the supervisor to prepare activities, assist during the program and complete cleanup afterward • Respect and protect the privacy of participant information • Arrange your own transportation to and from program sites • Carry out additional tasks as requested REQUIREMENTS: • Must be at least sixteen years of age • Demonstrates a positive and supportive approach toward individuals with disabilities • Able to complete tasks independently while following guidance from a supervisor Reliable and on time • Eager to learn and ready to participate in all program aspects • Experience assisting individuals with disabilities or similar work is preferred but not required Job Type: Part-time Pay: $15.00 per hour Benefits: • Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
