Responsibilities • Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify insurance information, and assist with patient intake processes. • Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software. • Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including insurance verification. • Prepare treatment rooms and assist dentists during procedures by passing instruments, maintaining sterilization protocols, and ensuring patient comfort. • Maintain accurate and detailed dental records, including documentation review of treatment plans, progress notes, and medical histories within Electronic Health Record (EHR) • Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing excellent patient service and addressing inquiries promptly. • Collect payments, process medical collections when necessary, and perform medical billing tasks with attention to detail. • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality at all times. • Assist with administrative tasks including filing medical records, managing office supplies, and supporting clinic operations to enhance overall office efficiency. Qualifications • Prior experience working in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly preferred; clinic experience is a plus. • Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently. • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and health information management protocols. • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel is required; experience with dental practice management software is preferred.
