Resident Support Specialist  Location: Seattle, WA (On-site at Copper Gate) Department: Housing Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week Compensation: $30.00/hour Reports to: Director of Housing About Wellspring Family Services For over 130 years, Wellspring Family Services has been helping families and individuals in King County overcome crisis and achieve lasting stability. As a nonprofit, multi-service agency, we focus on preventing homelessness and supporting families through comprehensive, wraparound services. Our programs include: * Housing Services: helping families regain and maintain stable housing. * The Family Store: offering free clothing and essentials for children ages 0–17. The Role: Resident Support Specialist As a Resident Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting residents at Copper Gate affordable housing complex, helping them achieve personal, financial, and housing stability. You will provide on-site, support and advocacy to residents, connecting them with community resources and fostering a safe, inclusive living environment. What You will Do * Provide on-site support to residents. * Build community connections by supporting resident events and activities. * Conduct needs assessments and creates individualized action plans to help residents overcome barriers to stability. * Offer crisis intervention for residents at risk of eviction and connect them to rental or utility assistance. * Educate residents on tenant rights and responsibilities. * Coordinate referrals for services such as mental health counseling, job training, and financial coaching. * Collaborate with local partners to bring resources and opportunities to residents. * Mediate landlord-tenant issues and advocate for supportive housing practices. * Develop and oversee youth and afterschool programs that support academic, social, and emotional growth. * Maintain detailed case notes and reports in accordance with agency standards. What You Bring * 3+ years of experience in housing services, case management, or community engagement. * Understanding of landlord-tenant laws and conflict resolution. * Experience supporting diverse and vulnerable populations, including those exiting homelessness. * Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases (Salesforce experience a plus). * Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. * Strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed care. Preferred: * Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written). * Experience designing or leading youth programs. * Knowledge of local community resources.
