Role Description Wells Fargo is seeking an Equity Research, Executive Director- Mid Cap Banks. In this role, you will: • Provide primary equity research coverage of the Mid Cap Banks sector. • Manage and conduct the fundamental equity research process for differentiated industry and stock-specific content. • Build and maintain financial estimates and stock recommendations for institutional investor clients. • Communicate research findings to internal stakeholders and external clients via consistent dialogue and live meetings. • Develop expertise on companies in the Mid Cap Banks sector. • Write research reports on key company updates and industry themes. • Create and update financial models and databases. • Attend company and industry events; cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contacts. • Communicate team views on covered companies with internal and external constituents. • Exercise independent judgment while developing knowledge of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. Qualifications • 6+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education. • 3+ years of management or leadership experience. • BS/BA or higher. • Direct sell-side experience of 10+ years as lead analyst covering Mid Cap Bank stocks. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels. • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including high level of proficiency in modeling. • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills. • Strong writing skills and attention to detail. • Knowledge and understanding of financial statement analysis. • Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles in the capital markets industry. • Knowledge and understanding of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet application. • Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills. Requirements • Up to 20% travel. • Registration for FINRA SIE must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. • Registration for FINRA Series 86 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. • Registration for FINRA Series 87 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. • This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing.
