Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant specializing in Pediatric Oncology for a 10-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in New York. Starting on 01 / 02 / 2026, this role requires flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including both days and nights. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pediatric oncology, including chemotherapy infusion, blood transfusions, genetic testing / counseling coordination, and lymphoma management. Key responsibilities include managing newly diagnosed patients and cancer survivors, conducting screenings, participating in end-of-life decision-making, and handling chemotherapy orders and management. Bone marrow biopsy experience is preferred. Job Details : Location : New York Facility Type : Hospital Start Date : 01 / 02 / 2026 LOA : 10 days Provider Type Needed : Physician Assistant (Pediatric Oncology) Schedule : 12-hour shifts (7a-7p), mix of days and nights Job Responsibilities and Duties : Manage pediatric oncology patients, including newly diagnosed cases and cancer survivors Administer chemotherapy infusions and blood transfusions Coordinate genetic testing and counseling Manage Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma cases Perform various clinical procedures, including IV medication administration, blood cultures, and EKG interpretation Conduct admission orders under supervising attending Participate in advance care planning and end-of-life decision-making Insert and manage feeding tubes and Foley catheters Initiate consultations and participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary rounds Perform history and physical examinations Manage cancer-related symptoms and side effects Conduct cancer risk assessments for various patient populations Enter chemotherapy care plans and orders Coordinate follow-up and infusion appointments Additional Information : Must be licensed in New York Experience with Allscripts EHR preferred Flexibility to work various shifts based on patient and facility needs is non-negotiable Possibility of assignment extension Apply now to learn more!
