Developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and coordinating between customers and internal teams.
At least 5 years of experience in Tier One & OEMs, familiarity with automotive sales, engineering knowledge, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities • Develop and promote customer relationships both in purchasing and engineering • Track down opportunities that translate into new business • Be a problem solver • Develop customer strategy for long term growth • Seek quotation opportunities and respond in a timely and professional manner • A key point of contact for the customer • Be the voice of the customer • Promoting companies' strengths and capabilities • Manage the customer portals; includes managing the customer Change Notice system, as well as the required reporting (daily) • Monitors new quotes in the system; follows up to ensure timely response which provides any additional information as needed • Issues RFQ's; engineering change notices; sets up budgets; forecasting and monitors changes to budgets • Communicate with customer engineers to handle any issues with existing business and to identify any future business • Participates in Program Review meetings with internal departments • Follows-up on any customer invoicing issues and aged receivables (as needed) • Coordinates liaison between customer, Sales Manager, Support, and Customer Service • Assists the Sales Manager in communication with buyers Competencies/Required Skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Organizational skills • Self-Starter • Works well with others • Team approach philosophy, Ability to work with the following software packages or programs • Microsoft Word at a proficient level • Microsoft Excel at a proficient level • Microsoft PowerPoint at a proficient level • Effective email and electronic communication skills are required • Automotive sales activities • Familiarity with resistance welding • Commercial and engineering activities of a Tier One & OEM's • Conduct/attend meetings with Tier One & OEM Engineering and Purchasing departments • Schedule visits to Tier One & OEM welding facilities to obtain project info on product and technologies • Explore other business opportunities that would grow business • Navigating through the OEM to find information worthy of forecasting, what, where and when • International & domestic travel • Developing and presenting Power Point presentations to promote the company, products and technology • Negotiate project pricing • Process APQPs for new product and/or project • Good listener, backed by good oral and written communications skills • Hunt for other business opportunities for business expansion • At least 5 years' experience in Tier One & OEM's Experience • Degree in Electrical Engineering (Associate or Bachelor) or equivalent field knowledge Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Tuition reimbursement • Vision insurance Application Question(s): • Will you now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status?
