Job Description: Travel Video Producer & Editor (Full-Time, On the Road) Company: Weekly Tourist Location: On the road – new city every week (travel across the U.S. and abroad) Type: Full-time, on-site (living and traveling in an expedition truck) --- About Weekly Tourist Weekly Tourist is a new YouTube podcast and adventure travel project. Each week we’ll travel to a new city in an expedition truck, attend a TimeLeft Wednesday event to connect with locals, run scenic city routes (between a quarter- and half-marathon daily), and explore the unique culture, food, and experiences each place has to offer. All of it will be captured, edited, and shared as engaging video content for our growing audience. --- The Role Looking for a full-time Travel Video Producer & Editor who will live and travel with the host to film, produce, and edit high-quality YouTube episodes. This is a hands-on role combining creativity, technical skills, and a spirit of adventure. You’ll be embedded in the journey, living in a custom expedition truck and helping document an ambitious city-per-week travel series. --- What You’ll Do Travel full-time (domestically and internationally) alongside the host in an expedition truck. Film high-quality video of interviews, events, runs, and on-location activities. Edit long-form YouTube episodes and shorter social media clips each week. Capture B-roll, drone footage, and audio in diverse and often unpredictable environments. Assist with production planning, equipment setup, lighting, and sound. Collaborate with the host on creative direction, storytelling, and publishing schedules. Help document and share the journey in real time through behind-the-scenes content. --- What We’re Looking For Strong background in video editing (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci, or similar). Experience filming on location (DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, drones, audio equipment). Comfortable with fast-turnaround editing (weekly content deadlines). Adventurous spirit — willing to travel every week, including international trips. Comfortable living and working in close quarters: small expedition truck, shared bathroom/shower, two beds in the same space. Flexible, adaptable, and able to handle unpredictable schedules. Strong creative eye for storytelling, pacing, and audience engagement. Bonus: experience with podcast production, social media content, or motion graphics. --- What We Provide Full-time salary (DOE) + travel expenses covered (flights, lodging in the expedition truck, meals provided). Your own separate bed in the expedition truck. Opportunity to travel to a new city every week, explore unique experiences, and build a high-visibility YouTube brand from the ground up. Creative freedom to shape the visual storytelling of a one-of-a-kind project. --- Lifestyle & Expectations This is not a typical desk job. You’ll be: Living on the road in a compact, shared space (the expedition truck). Sharing a single bathroom and shower with the host. Spending significant time outdoors filming, running, and exploring. Working on tight deadlines to produce engaging weekly content. If the idea of combining filmmaking with constant travel, adventure, and close collaboration excites you, this role could be a perfect fit. --- How to Apply: Send the following. 1. A short intro about yourself and why you’re interested in this role. 2. Links to past video editing or production work (YouTube, Vimeo, portfolio, etc.). 3. Any relevant experience traveling or working in unconventional environments.
