Job Summary As the largest online distributor of restaurant supplies and equipment, WebstaurantStore offers more than 430,000 products with fast, dependable shipping. Unlike most in the e-commerce arena, nearly all of our technology is designed, developed, and managed in-house, giving our teams the freedom to build custom solutions in a rapidly evolving market. This consistent, organic growth is why we have a need for a Software Business Analyst candidate to join our growing company. This role focuses on IT systems analysis and plays a critical part in supporting our business growth and meeting the purchasing needs of foodservice professionals around the world. Remote Work Qualifications • Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks. • Access to a home router and modem. • A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible). • A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment. • The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc. • Legal residents of one of the following states: (AK, AL, AR, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, and WY). We only accept W-2 candidates, H-1B sponsorship is not available. Responsibilities As a Software Business Analyst, you will be: • Collaborating effectively within a team-oriented, innovative environment. • Analyzing business processes and gathering requirements for project initiatives. • Creating user stories and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts. • Partner with stakeholders and product owners to validate business needs and define development priorities. • Serving as a liaison between business teams and the software development department. • Working closely with software engineers and QA to enhance solutions and ensure they meet acceptance criteria. • Facilitating meetings and performing Scrum Master responsibilities as needed. • Coordinating development efforts across multiple teams to align with project goals. Physical Requirements • Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer. • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. • Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching. • Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs. Qualifications Experience We are looking for driven, motivated candidates who have: • 3+ years of experience in a professional Business Analyst role. • Thorough understanding of and/or hands-on experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and its role in managing development workflows. • Strong self-management skills with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. • Passion for technology, e-commerce, and continuous improvement. • Willingness to learn and understand a wide range of business functions. • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL is a plus. • Familiarity with event sourcing concepts or event-driven architectures is a plus.
